Mapping

I discovered Mapbox Sudio recently, at which I was very excited. I’ve been looking a mapping program since I came across OpenStreetMaps a while back. But I couldn’t find anything that didn’t require a big learning curve. I needed something quick and intuitive for my purposes. And this is exactly what Mapbox Studio provides. It’s quite amazing for a free program.

I’m attempting to use it for site drawings and city locations for a series we’re doing on some of the roasters in our area. I’m hoping to create a comprehensive profile for the roasters. We’ll see what we end up producing.

Fruit stalls are prolific here. I quite enjoy them. There is no better place to find color, patterns, and repitition. A feast for the eyes. Here is a sketch and illustration study I did on one of the stalls down the alley from us.
